JustWork Doc Shell Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 21, 2026

Overview

JustWork Doc Shell is a Chrome extension for encrypted workspaces, documents, sheets, boards, folders, Inbox, and Agent collaboration. This policy explains what data the extension processes, how that data is used, and how users can control it.

Data we process

  • Workspace content: documents, sheets, boards, folder names, trash state, and related metadata created by users.
  • Local identity information: the extension creates a local user ID and stores the nickname the user enters for a workspace.
  • Collaboration and Inbox data: workspace member lists, presence state, mention notifications, drafts, offline queues, and collaboration snapshots.
  • Authentication information: the workspace password entered by the user is used only to encrypt, decrypt, and unlock the workspace. Users can choose whether to remember it locally in the browser.

How data is used

  • To provide core workspace functionality, including creating, editing, syncing, deleting, restoring, and hard-deleting workspace items.
  • To encrypt workspace content before syncing it to JustWork Backend.
  • To support collaboration, mention notifications, offline edit recovery, and Agent API operations.
  • To store necessary local state such as recent workspaces, drafts, offline queues, nicknames, Inbox items, and collaboration snapshots.

What we do not do

  • We do not read arbitrary website content.
  • We do not inject tracking scripts into web pages.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share user data for advertising, marketing, personalization, or creditworthiness decisions.
  • We do not persist workspace passwords to the backend database.

Backend sync

When users create or unlock a remote workspace, the extension communicates with JustWork Backend. The backend is used to store encrypted workspace payloads, collaboration relay data, image relay data, and necessary workspace member information.

Permissions

  • storage: stores local settings, recent workspaces, optional locally remembered passwords, nicknames, drafts, offline queues, Inbox items, and collaboration snapshots.
  • host permission https://api.tool.justwork.txzy.net/*: connects to JustWork Backend for workspace sync, collaboration, and Agent-related features.

Data deletion

Users can delete or hard-delete workspace items in the extension. Browser-local data can be removed through the browser extension storage or site data controls. For backend workspace data requests, contact the developer through the Chrome Web Store listing support channel.
